Job Summary:Responsible for managing the beverage program for World of Beer location, the ability to meet or exceed established financial goals and the ongoing beverage education of WOB*Stars. Reporting Relationship:General Manager

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Primary focus should be put on running a successful beer and beverage program, building beverage sales and attaining forecasted financial beverage goals, the development and growth of World of Beer hourly staff beverage knowledge, and the adherence to World of Beer operational standards.

Qualifications and Job Requirements: 

  • Previous hospitality/beer industry management experience that resulted in consistent, positive sales and profitability growth is preferred.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • An Alcohol Awareness Certification is required within 30 days of being hired, as required by state law.
  • A history of only the highest levels of restaurant cleanliness, food safety, employee & customer safety, and sanitation standards are always upheld.
  • Ability to perform all other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
  • Exemplify the WOB Way always.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, a WOB PM Employee is regularly required to talk, hear and see. This position includes the ability to stand for periods of time up to 10 - 12 hours in a shift and have the ability to be able to taste, smell, stoop, bend, stretch, kneel reach, carry, push and lift up to 50 pounds or the weight of an average keg without restriction. Ability to verbally communicate with all employees, customers and phone callers in English.

Duties/Requirements for Product Manager Employees

 

Technical Skills

  • Manage Inventory
    • Conduct weekly inventory counts for ordering
    • Input bi-weekly inventory for COGS / P&L
    • Ensure invoices are accurate, items are coded correctly in DC, and input into the Declining Budget/P&L Workbook
    • Establish sell price with GM based on target COGS/pricing strategy
  • Manage beer assortment based off WOB category mgmt. strategy
    • Meet with beer reps and distributors                 
    • Place beer orders with distributors based on inventory levels
    • Follow established pars - "Establish and follow pars based off PMIX and be prepared to adjust pending events/sales forecasts"
  • Receive Orders
    • Ensuring received product matches invoiced product
    • Ensure you have all couplers, tap handles.
    • Stocking newly received product (could be delegated to hourly employee)
    • FIFO (First in First Out) inventory management
    • Ensure all products are approved in cellar (beer approval process)
    • Update pricing and buttons in Cellar and Aloha CFC for all applicable packages
  • Maintaining Equipment
    • Ensure that the Draught wall is properly functioning
    • Complete daily beer walk-through using Draught system maintenance checklist
    • Knowledge of Fusion Tower and Cask Engine
    • Understand 3-Compartment Sink and
    • Ability to ensure that draught lines are correctly cleaned bi-weekly
    • Ability to troubleshoot when there is an issue

 

Relationship Skills

  • Thoroughly communicate all pertinent information to management team and staff.
  • On-going beverage training & development, support, counsel, advice and assistance to all staff members. Ensure team knowledge and focus on the current company beverage initiatives. Train all WOB*Stars 100% in adherence with WOB Training Programs.
  • Always provide a favorable image of World of Beer to promote its aims and objectives and enhance public recognition, whether on or off duty.
  • In compliance with all policies in Employee Handbook and WOB programs (Safety, Security, Food safety, Alcohol Awareness, etc.).
